Essendon is no longer tarnished with a drug reference and begins season 2017 with a clean slate.
The Bombers’ playing group returned to pre-season today including those that were forced to sit out 2016 due to inconclusive drug accusation.
Three and half years ago on the 5th of February, Essendon self reports to ASADA and its been a living hell ever since.
Today is a new beginning for the players and staff, with die hard Essendon fans braving gale like conditions to watch the boys return to the field or at least the club’s True Value Solar Energy field headquarters in Tullamarine.
The face of the club Jobe Watson looks in good spirits as does his teammates who were tarred with the drug cheat brush.
The energy emanating from the Red & Black was almost palpable as they high fived and back slapped each other….
