Martin has been a frequent guest at the Port Melbourne gym of Mick Hargraves, a well respected boxing coach and Richmond supporter, who has taken the 25 year old Tiger from a good player to one of the competition’s best players.
Fears for Martin’s football future began on the eve of the season when his father, Shane, was sent to New Zealand, permanently.
But it actually inspired the tattoo’d gun to knuckle down and invest in his future and its paid off in dividends.
